The Story So Far
- Captured 30 hour long interviews in the Louth County Museum and supported by Curator Brian Walsh.
- Produced a one minute prototype from one of the recordings by a local animated company (Magic Hill).
- This clip has had over 650 views on YouTube since early Jul 2014.
- Ran a crowd funding campaign in an attempt to raise funds.
- Met Heather Humphries Minister for the Arts, Heritage and The Gaeltacht in Dundalk on Friday 29th Aug 14.
- We have been featured on the Journal.ie website in Aug ’14 where our item got over 6000 views.
- Our project was featured on Destination Newry TV where we were interviewed by Rowan Hand.
- TV companies have been engagement as part of our market research including Channel 4, TV3 and UTV about their commissioning process who all want to see this project developed further.
- The digital on line channel An Lár are interested in showing using the series, if commissioned, An Lár stream on 6 channels and have a monthly viewership of 130,000 worldwide. An Lár will also be sharing the clip on their Social Media channels to over 30,000 followers.
- The project has been supported with audio contributions from John Moore (Hollywood Film Director), Jim Corr (Musician), Tommy Smyth (ESPN Presenter) and Tom Savage (RTE) who all hail from Louth.
- We have officially secured Virtual Incubation space at the RDC DKIT for use on the project for 2015.
- We have reached 4000 listens on our AudioBoom channel in Jan 2018.
- Launched the Gathering Heritage YouTube Channel in 2019
- Created 5 mini clip videos based on interviews in Blackrock, Co. Louth for YouTube (500+ views)
- Funded by Creative Ireland in 2019 – 20 interviews captured (Podcasts/YouTube Clips)
